Iíd like to wish Whatís On and your readers happiness and prosperity, to always cherish the wonderful moments that happen to you and enjoy life to the fullest. Iím planning to spend the winter holidays with my family since to me this is the best way to spend any holidays. And, of course, at this time of year, I enjoy listening to wonderful music in Kyivís very special Opera House.
Argentinian Ambassador HE Lila Roldán Vázquez de Moine

To the magazine and to all the readers, I would like to wish happy holidays and every success in the New Year. I plan to spend the holidays in Ukraine. This is such a beautiful country and my family and I feel privileged to live here. I like walking around downtown to admire the Christmas trees and lights. It creates a very special holiday feeling.
Canadian Ambassador HE Troy Lulashnyk
Forget all your worries from last year, go shopping for presents and meet the New Year with a smile on your face while enjoying the various traditions of your home country. This season is an unbelievably colourful event no matter where you are, and as such is very pleasant to the artistís eye. Christmas and New Year are holidays of unplanned surprises, thatís what amazes me most!
Anatoliy Kryvolap, Ukraineís most expensive artist
All I really want is for all the people of the world to be happy Ė I hope everyone gets exactly what they ask for this holiday season. Of course, Iím not a young girl anymore and donít believe in Santa or Did Moroz, but New Yearís Eve is magical nonetheless.
Natalya Gordienko, singer,
Holos Krainy television talent show participant
We sincerely wish all of Whatís On and your readers a Merry Christmas and Happy New Year! May you have health, success and a warm and cheerful disposition this 2013, and may all of your wishes comes true! This year, Iím planning to go to Bukovel with my family, and in 2013, I personally expect all my plans to come true Ė the band and I are geared up for some serious work!
Oleh Sobchuk, frontman for pop-rock group SKAY
All human beings programme their lives to be as busy as can be, which is why I wish everyone patience and forbearance Ė may you love the life you lead now and the life you aim to achieve. May you have a healthy appetite towards all things tasteful and discerning, toward new discoveries and extensive travel. Move forward, never look back, and certainly donít cry about the past Ė tears raise ocean levels and are the reason for global warming.
Andriy Kurkov, Ukraineís most successful writer
Bahroma hope that you stay healthy and happy this holiday season, and arenít struck down by nasty colds and flus. In the new year, donít be afraid to make mistakes Ė through our mistakes we learn valuable lessons. This year, the whole band is going to Yalta to celebrate the holidays. In January, we will start recording our new album, something Iím waiting rather impatiently for!
Roma Baharev, frontman for pop-rock group Bahroma
Hungarians like to have a peaceful, silent and white Christmas. I wish the same for Ukrainians and all the readers of the magazine. I am flying home for the Christmas holiday as we had a very intense year Ė thanks to the intensive Hungarian-Ukrainian cooperation and the parliamentary elections in October. Kyiv has a lot of nice parks, where I like to walk with my wife during snowfall.
Hungarian Ambassador HE Mihaly Bayer
Dear Whatís On readers, on this upcoming New Yearís Eve, may you hold close the warmth of your soul, and waste none of it on small and silly problems. Make brave and valiant wishes for the new year, and in that include love Ė as a life without love is boring and empty. My plans this year include a warm locale, but I havenít decided where just yet. Itís going to be somewhere I can find lots of fruits and no tourists.
Alloise, Ukrainian singer, songwriter
We wish all readers of Whatís On a peaceful holiday season and for the New Year lots of success, both professionally and personally. We are looking forwards to some quiet days in Kyiv.
Netherland Ambassador HE Pieter Jan Wolthers
A.R.M.I.Ya wants to wish everyone a super 2013! Let love ring true and free, and men Ė spoil your women with attention and sweet words, as we, women, need it so much. No matter what happens in your life, be independent in your deeds, thoughts and feelings. As artists, we donít get to take New Year holidays, but we are happy to share the big event with our colleagues on stage! On New Yearís Eve, we will be sending out good vibes and happiness, which is of course important, but also easy for us as we are independent women!
A.R.M.I.Ya, Ukrainian pop girl group
My wish is for everyoneís palette to include the most vivid of colours and impressions Ė I certainly hope the pictures of your life inspire you! I personally plan to spend this holiday at our dacha in the colourful Ukrainian village of Zasupevka in the circle of my multinational family! For me, itís so important to celebrate together.
Anna Kryvolap, Ukrainian artist
May your readers enjoy moments of peace at Christmas and happiness in the company of their beloved. New Yearís Eve is always an occasion to look back, critically or with satisfaction, and to resolve for oneself how to change oneís life for the better in the year to come. As Christmas to me remains a family affair, Iím very much looking forward to being with my wife, our children and my mother at home in Berlin. As I only arrived in August, Iím still exploring the ample opportunities that Kyiv and its surroundings offer.
German Ambassador HE Christof Weil
I would like to send my best wishes to all readers, now that Christmas days are approaching, and also to wish all of you a very prosperous and happy New Year ahead. I wish that 2013 will be a marvellous year for both Ukraine and Spain, and I am sure that the mutual relation between countries will remain tight. I will spend Christmas Eve and Christmas Day in Ukraine, and I plan to spend New Yearís Eve in Spain, so I have the opportunity to enjoy both countriesí unique traditions. My favourite tradition is Khreshenie, on 19 January. I find it very interesting and courageous for those who jump into that freezing cold water. It is also something very different from the Spanish traditions which take place in winter.
Spanish Ambassador HE Jose Rodriguez Moyano
